#2 Changing Strings...

You might think this post is about changing harp strings, but it's not! This post is about changing to a different stringed object altogether... my new tennis racquet. I love playing tennis, it is my favourite sport.

In August, my family and I were on holiday in West Palm Beach, Florida. It was a wonderful place with lots of things to do. I was due to upgrade my tennis racquet and I was looking forward to checking out American sports stores to see how different they were to the ones back home.

We visited a few but a store called All Tennis was the best. The owner was a man called Perry and he was very friendly. He was also very knowledgable about all aspects of tennis and he spent a lot of time with me, helping me choose a racquet. I settled on the new Yonex Ezone 100. He also advised me on the right strings for it. While he was doing that, Perry showed me a couple of racquets that he had strung for Venus and Serena Williams! Lots of sports stars like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and the Williams sisters live in the area. I'm hoping some of the Williams' magic will transfer over to me and my new racquet!

Anyway, now the holiday is over and it's back to school and the everyday routine.

I've posted a couple of photos to help brighten up the website and remind me of Florida. Both were taken as I was shelling at sunrise on Riviera Beach. I love shelling and Florida has many great beaches to go shelling on. During the holiday, we had a couple of trips to the Florida Keys and the Gulf of Mexico in search new shell finds.
